The Old Vicarage
News from the Old Vicarage
At the time of writing we are half way through our music week and our residents have enjoyed some wonderful singing with the St Andrew’s choir, while Tony Durkin brought in his organ and sang some great old songs and Mark, one of our chefs, played his spanish guitar. We are looking forward to the Brownies and Guides entertaining us with a camp fire sineg song, a visit from St. Andrew’s School and of course our tea party on Saturday.
We had a lovely afternoon on Tuesday of country dancing which we all participated in, with lots of fun and laughter and near misses!
Looking ahead we are busy planning our Summer garden party on Sunday 15th August. Please make a note in your diary and look out for our advertisements nearer the time for more details.
Following our recent success at the Great British Regional Care Awards we again went to London for the finals at the spectacular Guildhall and enjoyed a wonderful evening hosted by Fiona Phillips. Jan Millward won the Activity Co-ordinator’s Award and Natalie was runner up in the Registered Manager’s Award.
