The club enjoys an active programme of talks, visits to gardens of note, and social events throughout the year. The talks are given in Chetnole Village Hall on the first Monday of each month and cover a wide variety of subjects, principally gardening but also some allied subjects. Other social events are also held including an evening garden visit and Club Supper, visits to gardens further afield and a Christmas Party.
The club has a membership of some 80 people. Everyone is welcome at our monthly meetings and a wealth of experience in horticulture and wildlife exists within the membership. There is usually a monthly competition, and in the last two years have included a good-natured fuchsia growing completion.
Club members can gain from discounts from Castle Gardens in Sherborne once or twice a year during special promotional events.
