The Playpark Committee is responsible for the maintenance of the Children’s Playpark on behalf of Leigh Parish Council.
- Play Park Painting
The newly located play park now needs some volunteers to give the equipment a paint and spruce up. This is a community run play park, so it is essential that users help out when possible.
All paint and equipment will be provided. You just need to donate a couple of hours of your time. Once we have a list of volunteers and times of availability, we can get a painting rota set up.
Contact Julia on 01935 873824 if you can help.
We are a friendly group, meeting three or four times a year to discuss the general upkeep of our Playpark. We are also trying to secure a long-term home of our Playpark as the current lease is due to expire in 2020. We would welcome any new members or helpers.
We are delighted that the Village Hall Committee and Trustees are allowing us to rent the Wildflower Meadow at the top of the Village Hall Carpark, as a new site for the playpark. Plans are underway, and we hope it will be ready for Summer 2018.
We will submit drawings to the Village Hall Committee to show the children’s play equipment within the meadow, so all ages can enjoy this wonderful space. The existing trees and footpath will remain, and we will actively fundraise when the legal formalities have been conculded.
Thank you to all those who have supported us and especially to the Village Hall Chairman and Treasuer, Duncan Moore and Paul Orchard.
