Leigh Playpark

Leigh’s Playpark is nestled within a wildflower meadow in the grounds of the village hall. It is maintained by Leigh Parish Council, with support and fundraising from the Playpark Committee.

It moved to its current location following extensive fundraising efforts and work by the committee and parish council and in 2021, a new slide was purchased and built into a large mount with a wooden fort.

Future Plans

In 2022, Dorset Council awarded the Playpark a £5000 grant to enhance the wellbeing and fitness of children in the village. Local parents and children were surveyed to find out which items they would like to be included in their park.

The new equipment is planned for June 2023 and includes:

A Toddler tractor
Ramp and Tunnel for the mound
Climbing wall, Log roll, Balance logs and Wobble board

For any maintenance issues with the playpark, please contact the Parish Clerk
