The Boyles Educational Foundation
For anyone moving into further education this year, please read.
The Boyles Educational Foundation, known as Boyle’s Trust is a charity supporting the education of residents of the parishes of Yetminster, Leigh and Chetnole. It awards grants to local people beginning apprenticeships or courses of higher or further education to help fund the purchase of equipment, tools of the trade, books, laptops and other necessary expenses.
Anyone embarking on vocational or academic training or education, is welcome to apply. There is no age limit or means assessment.
Applicants should contact the Chairman, describing the course, training or other venture they plan to follow and explain what particular expenses the grant would be used for.

Leigh Talks
7th February 7.30pm – Kevin Clayton, representing the Green Party, will come and answer questions about how the party plans to tackle climate and environmental issues after the next election. There will be three more talks allowing each of the major parties to respond to these vital questions. Everyone welcome!
21st February 7.30pm – Edward Morello, the Liberal Democrat candidate for West Dorset, will come and answer questions about how the Lib Dems will respond to questions about water quality, pollution, agricultural policy, renewable energy after the next election. The second of four talks allowing each of the major parties to respond. Everyone welcome!
